"Hello! I am a proud graduate of the University of Cambridge, where my academic journey deepened my fascination with the complexities of life sciences. Currently, I am immersed in the field of cancer biology, where my research aims to unravel the mysteries of this formidable disease. My passion for medical research is not just confined to the lab; I am equally enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge and insights with others. Through tutoring, I aspire to ignite a similar passion for science in my students, helping them to see the beauty and intricacies of biology. My approach to teaching is patient, engaging, and tailored to each student's unique learning style. Whether you're grappling with the basics or delving into advanced topics, I am here to guide you on your educational journey." I have a diverse academic background in the life sciences, beginning with my dual degree program where I earned both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biotechnology from the Vellore Institute of Technology in India. Following this, I pursued and completed my Master's degree in Cancer Biology at the University of Melbourne in Australia, further specializing my expertise in the field of life sciences. My academic journey continued in England, where I achieved a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Cambridge, showcasing my broad and deep engagement with both the theoretical and practical aspects of biotechnology, cancer research, and clinical neurosciences across three continents.

Medicine reject at A-level who decided to pursue biomedical sciences instead to explore several career routes in science. Upon further exploration through experiences in healthcare, decided to give medicine one more chance as a postgraduate degree and recieved an offer from Oxford for medicine. Interests include music, gaming and travelling. Tutoring GCSE and A-level Maths and Sciences for over 4 years helping over 40 students achieve their dream grades with a mean result improvement of 2 grades. I also assist in UK medical school admissions tests, personal statement writing and interviews (Oxbridge included). My teaching style heavily revolves around putting methods to practise by attempting several exam questions during lesson time. The goal is to familiarise yourself with exam techniques to the point where exam questions do not startle you. After moving to the UK in 2015, I pursued my GCSEs which I completed in 2019, achieving five 9s, four 8s and two 7s with 9s in Maths and Sciences. I realised my passion for science and decided to pursue Biology, Chemistry and Maths for A-levels where I achieved 3A*s. After being rejected from medicine, I decided to complete a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at UCL, achieving a 1st Class Honours. During my degree I realised my passion lies in medicine and decided to try one more time by changing key parts of my application. Luckily, I received offers from Oxford and Warwick for Graduate-Entry Medicine.

New tutor

Hi! I'm a Chemical Engineering student at the University of Birmingham, tutoring Maths and Science across GCSE and A Level. I got an A* in Chemistry, an A in Biology and an A in Maths at A Level, so I've been where you are, staring at past papers wondering if it'll ever click. Trust me it will. What makes me different? I won't just give you the answer. I will show you how to tackle questions and understand mark schemes better than ever before. These subjects trip people up for the same reason: you need to visualise problems, follow logical steps and remember key facts, all at once whilst trying not to fall intro traps set by the exam boards. I've done informal tutoring with friends and family, and the biggest lesson I've learned is students don't need someone smarter than them but instead they need someone patient, who explains things properly, ensure that they understand, and never makes them feel silly for asking twice. Expect sessions built around real exam technique, spotting how questions are phrased, and turning "I sort of get it" into "I've got this." I'll adapt to how you learn best diagrams, worked examples, or talking it through. Whatever works best for you. If you want a tutor who still remembers being stuck on a tricky question at 11pm, I'm your person. I attended Lancaster Royal Grammar School and I am currently a Student at the University of Birmingham studying a Masters in Chemical Engineering. I have an A* in Chemistry and an A in Maths and an A in biology. I specialise in teaching Science and Maths at a GCSE level and Chemistry and Maths at an A-Level standard.

I am a professional tutor with significant teaching experience in Economics and Business Studies. I have a strong passion for teaching and helping others succeed academically and personally. I enjoy sharing knowledge with others and making a positive impact on a student's life and academic journey. My desire is to help students overcome academic challenges and achieve their full potential. This can involve helping them boost their confidence, improve their grades, support them through an academic project or provide them with personalised learning experiences. My approach focuses on helping students build a strong understanding of core concepts, apply theory to real-world contexts, and develop the analytical and evaluative skills needed for exam success and academic excellence. I have helped students consistently improve by 1-2 grade boundaries and secure places at top universities. University-level students have developed stronger analytical essays and improved their grades in coursework, exams and dissertations. I hold a PhD in Economics and a Masters Degree in Economics, Banking and Finance (with Distinction) from a top UK business school. I've also attended several executive education or professional development courses in Statistical Analysis, Climate Change Risk in Finance and Project Management from Imperial College London, University of Edinburgh and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) respectively, amongst others. My subject specialisms include Economics and Business Studies, and I teach these at all levels including GCSE, A-Level and Degree levels. For university students, I also teach Management, Finance, Statistics, and Econometrics. Lower Level: Mathematics GCSE: Mathematics Exam Board Experience: Edexcel Languages: English (Fluent), Filipino (Native) Preferred Student Age Group: Any About me: I study mechanical engineering at Queen Mary University of London (a member of the Russell Group universities). Whether we acknowledge it or not, maths and science are all around us in many obvious and invisible ways from how your wifi sends and receives data to how planes can fly. I chose engineering because it allows me to put my knowledge of maths and science to practical use in being able to create something in the real world. Everything man-made you can think of is the product of engineering. Because of this, knowledge is power, and with the right knowledge and tools, anyone can design anything. I aim to inspire students by making learning enjoyable, through a process that is at the student's pace - no pressure - and showing real-life applications in a topic to both prove its usefulness and to hopefully spark an interest in the subject. I will make sure that the student actually understands a topic so that they can not only answer standard exam questions easily but so that they can also use their solid knowledge of the topic to answer unfamiliar, "tricky" exam questions. Truly understanding a subject or topic in combination with a real interest in it can stick with someone for a lifetime. Being able to truly learn something happens when someone wants to, not because they have to. I also love music. I like to sing and play the guitar and piano.

My relationship with Spanish started during my University career, but quickly developed during my year of study abroad in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. I have over two years' experience sharing my knowledge, experience and enthusiasm with students of various ages, and have supported pupils to prepare for exams or simply learn for fun. Having previously been a nervous speaker myself, my goal is to show students how capable they really are of holding their own in another language. I always make sure to identify pupils' learning preferences and areas of difficulty, and tailor my lessons to support each individual. In this way, I help learners to build stronger understanding of key concepts, excellent listening, reading and writing skills, as well as newfound confidence when speaking.

Hello ! I'm Sadie, 19 and currently completing an undergraduate degree in International Disaster Management and Humanitarian Response in Manchester. I am passionate about learning and enjoy helping others build confidence in their academic abilities. I completed my secondary education in 2025, where I focused on Geography, Religious Studies and Chemistry, and have continued to develop my knowledge and passion for geography through my university course. I have experience supporting younger students with exam preparation, having taken part in a peer coaching scheme for 2 years whilst at school. Through this, I have learned the importance of patience, structure and encouragement in helping students succeed. It also taught me how best to adapt my teaching style to suit individual learning needs and aim to create a supportive learning environment. In my free time I enjoy reading, travelling and hiking, especially since moving to Manchester where I am now right on the doorstep of the beautiful peak district ! I look forward to helping students achieve their goals and gain confidence in their studies. In 2023, I completed 10 GCSEs at the Cotswold School, Bourton on the Water. These include English Language and Literature (both grade 6), mathematics (grade 8), Biology (grade 7), chemistry (grade 8), physics (grade 9) and geography (grade 9). I then continued my education with the Cotswold School Sixth Form, completing an AS level in Mathematics in 2024, and 3 A levels in Geography (A), Religious Studies (A) and Chemistry (B) in 2025. I am now in the Process of completing an undergraduate degree in MSC International Disaster Management and Humanitarian Response with the University of Manchester, with a predicted graduation in 2028.
