Hi, I’m Henry - a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student studying at Imperial. I offer tutoring services for A level, GCSE and KS3 Maths and Physics along with university application guidance. I have a strong background in Maths and Physics, with A*A at A-Level, and I’m currently applying these subjects in applied engineering. Therefore, I understand the fundamentals taught at school and know how to explain them clearly, as well as show how they connect to real-world applications. As someone with experience in doing multiple stressful exams throughout my time at school and university, I understand that everyone learns differently and that finding the right approach is key to truly understanding a topic. I aim to adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s needs and help build both confidence and clarity. Please feel free to book your free trial with me to help build confidence, improve understanding, and achieve your academic goals. I went to Worthing High School and did my GCSEs including a 9-8 in combined science and an 8 in Maths. I then went to BHASVIC and achieved an A*AAA in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and AS Further Maths. I have now currently finished my second year at Imperial as a Mechanical Engineering student and am predicted a 2:1.

Languages: B2 German, English Native Speaker Canadian Highschool Diploma: English 30-1, Math 30-1, Biology 30-1, Chemistry 30-1 Bachelor of Arts in Ministry with a double major in Outdoor Leadership Preferred age group: any I grew up in Canada, but I have recently moved to Germany with my husband where I am learning German, and hoping to study soon. In Canada I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry, with a Major in Outdoor Leadership. I worked in this field for a few years, but eventually found myself drawn to the business and financial side of things in the organization that I worked for. In the future, I would like to pursue education and work in business and finance. My favorite hobby is being active in the outdoors. I enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, and almost anything else that gets me outside and being active. I also love to relax with a good book on a quite day or evening. My other qualifications are not particularly connected to tutoring. I am certified to teach a number of adventure activities. I am a Top Rope Climbing instructor, certified by the ACMG, I am a level 1 Mountain Bike instructor, certified with PMBIA, OCC Hiking Field Leader, and I also took an 80 wilderness first aid course. These things give a bit of a picture about what I am interested in, and what I have pursued learning about or teaching in my life. Tutoring is new to me, but I do have a lot of experience with teaching and instructing in an outdoor context. I think I can easily apply my outdoor instruction and facilitation skills, to tutoring.

Hello! My name is Shruti and I have always been fascinated by technology and how it shapes the world we live in. I have a strong passion for mathematics and science. I enjoy the challenges of solving complex problems and finding different solutions, which strengthen analytical thinking as well as problem-solving skills. I believe this is very important because it helps us to understand problems better and enables us to break them down into smaller, more manageable parts, which is also very crucial to learn. This also allows us to evaluate options logically instead of just guessing. Alongside this, I love listening to music. Listening to different genres helps me to relax and stay motivated; it also enhances my focus, concentration and memory. For me, music also works by blocking out distractions and creating a very steady rhythm for the brain to follow, which further increases my level of concentration. I also enjoy learning different languages because I believe this helps with connecting to different people from diverse backgrounds. Cognitively, learning a new language strengthens memory, problem-solving skills, as well as concentration. Altogether, these skills helped me to build confidence and independence. Therefore, I became better at explaining new ideas clearly and in an easily understandable way. I also became better at learning new things and finding solutions quickly to different problems. This is extremely essential in fields like engineering and tutoring! Throughout my academic years, I have attended Queen Mary's High School, and after that, I attended Queen Mary's Grammar School for sixth form. Currently, I am a first year Computer Engineering Student at the University of Birmingham.During my school years and university so far, I have completed assignments, projects which have helped me to develop my analytical thinking skills and experience explaining difficult concepts easily. Furthermore, I have also done mentoring before in school, where I was teaching maths to a GCSE student, and this also enabled my skills to improve and gave me more experience of teaching.

Hi! I'm Siobhan. I'm passionate about helping people learn in a way that feels relaxed, supportive and enjoyable. I know that learning something new can sometimes feel intimidating, so I aim to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence at their own pace. I have a background in English and communication, and I enjoy helping students improve their language skills while making lessons engaging and practical. Outside of tutoring, I love creative writing, poetry, arts and crafts, travelling and exploring different cultures. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals and celebrating your progress along the way! I hold a BA (Hons) in Journalism with English Language (2:1) from the University of Portsmouth. Throughout my degree, I developed strong skills in English language, grammar, writing, communication, critical thinking and text analysis. My studies involved analysing a wide range of written texts, improving academic writing, conducting research and presenting information clearly to different audiences. This educational background has given me a strong understanding of the English language, which I enjoy sharing with students. I believe in making learning engaging, supportive and tailored to each individual's needs, helping students build both their confidence and their skills.

My name is Rebecca and I am from South Wales, United Kingdom. I have experienced living in different places around the UK and I lived in London for several years, which was an amazing experience to meet people from international countries and learn many things about their culture and interests too. I enjoy cooking at home, as formally I have trained on the job as a professional chef, mainly in seafood/fish restaurants and Japanese cuisine. Also, I like going for a walk down the coastline and taking in the scenic views, photography and sometimes video gaming when the time arises. For over a year, I have been teaching English online as a second language to Taiwanese and Chinese students, both juniors and adults. Which became an interest whilst I was teaching sushi classes in London. I decided to advance onto teaching specifically English and conversational topics chosen by students, to further improve their overall English language. From education I gained a TEFL level 5 teaching qualification and a BSc (Hons) in Food and Consumer Management from Birmingham University. Which focused on live industry projects within the FMCG sector, nutrition and the business elements within the food industry. I enjoy cooking at home, particularly Japanese cuisine and seafood dishes that I learnt previously as a professional chef.

Hello and welcome to my profile! 😊 I'm Aishwarya, an English tutor with 10 years of tutoring experience and a background in Marketing and Consulting. So, it turns out that explaining marketing concepts and explaining grammar rules use the same muscle: taking something complicated and making it click. That's what I bring to every lesson. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐈 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐞𝐝 Most students don't struggle because they can't do the work. They struggle because exam questions are confusing and nobody's shown them a clear way in. I fix that with visual guides, step by step frameworks and loads of past paper practice, so by exam day it just feels familiar. 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐈 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 ① 11+ & SATs (English & Verbal Reasoning) — comprehension, SPAG, reading skills and verbal reasoning, plus practice papers and a bit of stretch to create a challenge once they're ready to tackle it. ② GCSE English Language (AQA & Edexcel) — paper recaps, past paper walkthroughs and the specific techniques that get students from a 5 to a 7, 8 or 9. ③ Primary English — 1 hour sessions on spelling, grammar, comprehension and vocabulary. Kept interactive so it doesn't feel like a chore with breaks in between. ④ Degree Level Proofreading & Mentoring — 1.5 hour sessions on critical analysis, essay structure, grammar and citations. Getting firsts and 2:1s in assessments aren't difficult once you know what to develop your arguments on. 𝐌𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 No question is a silly question, ever. I mix things up with visual annotations, videos and games so lessons don't feel repetitive. Whether it's the 11+, chasing a grade 9, or getting a dissertation proofread properly, the goal is always the same: build confidence and get the result. 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 I take this seriously. I hold an up-to-date Enhanced DBS check, plus 3 safeguarding qualifications covering children, 16 to 25 year olds and online tutoring. I've taught learners from age 6 through to university. You'll always be learning somewhere that feels safe and pressure free. MY EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐦 MSc Strategic Marketing and Consulting BSc (Hons) Business Management with Marketing 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business - Distinction Getting up the educational ladder isn't always easy. With the right tools and someone genuinely in your corner, it's completely doable. I'm ready when you are! Let's get you those grades and have fun in the process too 😊
