Hi! I’m a dedicated and approachable maths tutor with 3 years of experience supporting students at KS3, GCSE, and A-level. I specialise in helping learners build confidence, deepen their understanding, and improve exam technique in both pure and applied maths. I’m particularly experienced with OCR A-level Maths and AQA GCSE Maths, and I tailor every session to match each student’s syllabus, learning style, and goals. Many of my students have improved by a grade or more through targeted support and consistent practice. Currently, I’m studying Law at the University of Leeds, which sharpens my logical thinking and communication—skills that directly enhance my maths tutoring. I bring a calm, structured, and encouraging approach to every session, always aiming to make maths feel more manageable and even enjoyable. Currently studying Law at the University of Leeds, where I am developing strong analytical and communication skills. I studied in Singapore for secondary and high school, so I am familiar with the British O level and A level syllabi, which are used in Singapore with minor variations. Currently I am studying social sciences in second year at Sciences Po Paris campus of Le Havre and the program is in English. I have been teachign English language and grammar, Mathematics, History, and Biology to students up to secondary level both online and offline for the past 2 years. I am a passionate and patient teacher dedicated to making learning enjoyable and rewarding to my students. In my spare time, I write and produce for a podcast and a campus newspaper in English, and I'm in the orchestra of Le Havre as a violinist. My first language is Mandarin. Research Experience: I had research attanchment at Nanyang Technological University before coming to France for my University, under the Biochemistry department. I also interned at the Singapore Environmental Agency under the Wolbachia project for dengue control. This experience gave me a 3-month laboratory working experience with leading biologists and bio-engineers in the field of infectious disease control, which made me interested in the public health sector and related social policies.

My name is Laura. I am a final year medical student at Trinity College Dublin. I am living in Dublin, Ireland. I've been providing tutoring in Maths for the last 5 years. I achieved grade A+ in my leaving Certificate Maths examination. I have taught students of all levels, from primary school to Leaving Certificate/A Level standard. My approach to lessons is tailored to each individual student. First I identify the areas in which the student may be struggling with or in which the student would benefit from tutoring in. My tutoring sessions are student centered and I move at a pace that suits each student. I encourage the student to attempt sample questions during the session in order for me to assess their understanding. I adapt my teaching plan to the goals of the student and suggest questions for the student to complete in-between sessions. I have recently worked to develop a student e-learning platform (www.studentgrinds.ie). I have also created youtube videos on my account 'Laura Kehoe' (youtube user ID:HmzZLwmKOZwL3SV-aONyig ) showcasing the solutions to maths exam questions for students. I am happy to answer any questions you may have in relation to tutoring sessions. Outside of my studies, I enjoy horse-riding and running.

I am a disciplined and motivated university student with a strong interest in analytical thinking and problem-solving. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, logical steps and helping students build confidence through understanding rather than memorisation. I value consistency, clarity, and progress, and I aim to make learning structured, approachable, and effective. I am currently studying Economics and Mathematics at university, where my studies focus on quantitative analysis, logical reasoning, and real-world application of theory. Prior to university, I studied at a grammar school, developing a strong academic foundation and disciplined work ethic that I now apply both to my studies and to tutoring.

I graduated in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Birmingham and teach Maths to students of all ages up to A level. I achieved A*A*A* at A level in Maths, Physics and Chemistry, reflecting the strong academic foundation I bring to my teaching. With my students, I ensure that their understanding of underlying methods is to the highest possible standard through rigorous practice. In my experience as a student, exposing yourself to different mathematical scenarios builds a great foundation for achieving the best possible grades. My biggest aim for my students is for them to constantly improve so that when they get to the exam, they are confident about any aspect of the syllabus that may arise. For my sessions, I will ask students what they wish to study and ensure I tailor the session around what I am told. If the student is undecided, I will plan lessons around pushing the student to challenge themselves in rigorous practice, with my guidance, around different mathematical concepts in their curriculum. For exams, my main aim is for students to achieve the best grades possible, meeting and exceeding their targets. My highest level of education is an MSci in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Birmingham. Prior to this, I achieved A*A*A* in A-level Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. I have over 3 years of experience tutoring students in Mathematics across a range of ages and abilities, up to A level. Through this experience, I have developed a strong ability to explain difficult concepts clearly, adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, and build both confidence and exam technique. My focus is always on ensuring students fully understand the methods they are using, so they can approach unfamiliar questions with confidence and achieve the best grades possible.

Medicine reject at A-level who decided to pursue biomedical sciences instead to explore several career routes in science. Upon further exploration through experiences in healthcare, decided to give medicine one more chance as a postgraduate degree and recieved an offer from Oxford for medicine. Interests include music, gaming and travelling. Tutoring GCSE and A-level Maths and Sciences for over 4 years helping over 40 students achieve their dream grades with a mean result improvement of 2 grades. I also assist in UK medical school admissions tests, personal statement writing and interviews (Oxbridge included). My teaching style heavily revolves around putting methods to practise by attempting several exam questions during lesson time. The goal is to familiarise yourself with exam techniques to the point where exam questions do not startle you. After moving to the UK in 2015, I pursued my GCSEs which I completed in 2019, achieving five 9s, four 8s and two 7s with 9s in Maths and Sciences. I realised my passion for science and decided to pursue Biology, Chemistry and Maths for A-levels where I achieved 3A*s. After being rejected from medicine, I decided to complete a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at UCL, achieving a 1st Class Honours. During my degree I realised my passion lies in medicine and decided to try one more time by changing key parts of my application. Luckily, I received offers from Oxford and Warwick for Graduate-Entry Medicine.

Lower Level: Mathematics GCSE: Mathematics Exam Board Experience: Edexcel Languages: English (Fluent), Filipino (Native) Preferred Student Age Group: Any About me: I study mechanical engineering at Queen Mary University of London (a member of the Russell Group universities). Whether we acknowledge it or not, maths and science are all around us in many obvious and invisible ways from how your wifi sends and receives data to how planes can fly. I chose engineering because it allows me to put my knowledge of maths and science to practical use in being able to create something in the real world. Everything man-made you can think of is the product of engineering. Because of this, knowledge is power, and with the right knowledge and tools, anyone can design anything. I aim to inspire students by making learning enjoyable, through a process that is at the student's pace - no pressure - and showing real-life applications in a topic to both prove its usefulness and to hopefully spark an interest in the subject. I will make sure that the student actually understands a topic so that they can not only answer standard exam questions easily but so that they can also use their solid knowledge of the topic to answer unfamiliar, "tricky" exam questions. Truly understanding a subject or topic in combination with a real interest in it can stick with someone for a lifetime. Being able to truly learn something happens when someone wants to, not because they have to. I also love music. I like to sing and play the guitar and piano.
