Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a final year Accounting and Finance student at Lancaster University. Currently on track for a 1st class degree. I also achieved 9 GCSEs, ranging from 7-9, which allowed me to study Chemistry, Economics and Maths. Along with gaining an A* in my EPQ, which I completed in year 12, giving me crucial skills that I have carried forward to my degree. I have been tutoring for over 2 years. During this time, I have helped prepare primary school students for their SATS and gained more confidence with maths in the classroom. I also prepared year 11 and 13 students for their GCSE and A levels by covering content they were unsure of and practising exam techniques. I previously gained experience mentoring GCSE students at my school. I am a student with dyslexia, so I understand the challenges students face in classroom settings. Anyone can be successful, which is why my sessions are student-led, so that they are catered towards each individual's learning style. If you are unsure of this throughout my school career, I have learnt different methods that work for me and would love to pass them on to others so that we can find a technique that works for you. I attended Rugby School, where I completed my GCSEs and A levels, and now I have gone on to study for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University, where I have just completed a summer internship at PwC, which has lead to a full time graduate offer for September 2027. My name is Harrison, I am studying electrical engineering at the University of Nottingham. I am passionate about tutoring particularly GCSE and A level Maths. My hobbies include Jiu-Jitsu where I occasionally participate in tournaments and the robotics society at the University of Nottingham working on PCB design and control systems. Mathematics deepened my confidence in tackling complex problems, Law improved my ability to form structured arguments, and Computer Science further developed my technical knowledge and passion for computing. I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities.
