Hello! I’m an experienced English Language, Literature and Primary Maths Tutor and an English as a Second Language teacher with over five years of teaching experience. For the past four years, I have also helped students successfully prepare for the 11+ and SATS exams. I hold a First Class Honours BA in English and American Literature from the University of Kent in Canterbury and a TESOL certification from Arizona State University. I also completed a Master’s in Educational Studies at KU Leuven, one of Belgium’s top universities. I'm Fintan, I'm a 2nd year student at Cardiff University studying Financial Mathematics (BSc) - Primarily a further development into the field of Maths, with some time spent learning about Corporate management and Investment Management. Hi! I'm Archie and I'm a GCSE, iGCSE, AS Level and A-Level maths tutor currently studying Mathematics and Finance at university with a current first prediction. I truly enjoy tutoring students who struggle with maths and specialise in improving predicted grades. I used to struggle with maths when I was younger but that's because I didn't understand it and now I do I'm planning on pursuing a career in it and would love to help other students get to the same level that I'm at. I attended Haileybury as my secondary school where I gained 10 GCSEs gaining 7s, 8s, and 9s and I studied maths, physics and computer science at a-level get ABB respectively. Growing up in a part of Ireland rich in natural beauty, I developed a passion for hiking and camping, along with music on the Uillean pipes, Violin and piano. I enjoy language learning: specifically Spanish and Russian.
