Hi everyone, I’m Barnaby. I’m currently studying for a Master of Physics at the University of Oxford, having graduated with a first-class Bachelor’s in Physics in 2025. Before university, I achieved A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, finishing top of my school in both Maths and Physics. Beyond academics, I have a wide range of interests. Most recently, I wrote and directed my own musical, which I took to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025. I also work as a group leader at High 5 Sports and Activities Holiday Camp, where I look after children aged five to fourteen. Hello! My name is Shruti and I have always been fascinated by technology and how it shapes the world we live in. I have a strong passion for mathematics and science. I enjoy the challenges of solving complex problems and finding different solutions, which strengthen analytical thinking as well as problem-solving skills. I believe this is very important because it helps us to understand problems better and enables us to break them down into smaller, more manageable parts, which is also very crucial to learn. This also allows us to evaluate options logically instead of just guessing. Alongside this, I love listening to music. Listening to different genres helps me to relax and stay motivated; it also enhances my focus, concentration and memory. For me, music also works by blocking out distractions and creating a very steady rhythm for the brain to follow, which further increases my level of concentration. I also enjoy learning different languages because I believe this helps with connecting to different people from diverse backgrounds. Cognitively, learning a new language strengthens memory, problem-solving skills, as well as concentration. Altogether, these skills helped me to build confidence and independence. Therefore, I became better at explaining new ideas clearly and in an easily understandable way. I also became better at learning new things and finding solutions quickly to different problems. This is extremely essential in fields like engineering and tutoring! Throughout my academic years, I have attended Queen Mary's High School, and after that, I attended Queen Mary's Grammar School for sixth form. Currently, I am a first year Computer Engineering Student at the University of Birmingham.During my school years and university so far, I have completed assignments, projects which have helped me to develop my analytical thinking skills and experience explaining difficult concepts easily. Hi, I’m Eva! I’m 19 years old and currently studying Business Management at the University of Nottingham, where I’m about to begin my second year. Hello, my name is Aasim. I am currently a medical student aspiring to one day become an orthopaedic surgeon. I went to secondary school and sixth form in London , after which I took a gap year and started Medicine at university afterwards. During my gap year I spent time working as an HCA at the Royal London Hospital as well as tutoring some of my family friends' children for chemistry and maths. I also spent a fair amount of time pursuing my own hobbies and interests such as drawing, reading, MMA and football which I try to play once a week with my friends. I like to incorporate visual aids in my lessons as I, myself, am a very visual learner. I also like to maintain a light-hearted environment when teaching my students, often employing humour during my lessons as I feel that it can make the student more relaxed and enables them to learn and absorb concepts in a stress-free environment. Hi, I'm Hannah, a 2nd year chemistry student. Before that, I went to Chelmsford County High School for Girls where I did 10 GCSEs (English language, English literature, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, French, German and Geography, all grade 9), HPQ and FSMQ (both As).
