My name is Katy and I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Politics & Modern History. I have been living in Spain & France so am fluent in both languages whilst tutoring to a wide range of ages for the past few years. I am calm, interactive and experienced and enjoy working with students to help achieve their goals. I am TEFL certified, and have plenty of experience with all GCSE & A level examination boards. With regards to languages, I am able to support students in all aspects of exam preparation, from reading & writing to speaking & listening. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Modern History & Politics from the University of Manchester in 2021, where I specialised in Russian & Chinese history, as well as Modern African history, whilst including modules in advanced Spanish. I completed the International Baccalaureate where I studied a range of subjects including History, Spanish, French, English literature, Physics and Maths.

I hold a Master’s degree in Genomic Medicine from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, giving me strong subject expertise and a clear, structured approach to teaching even the most challenging topics. I specialise in GCSE and A Level Science, with a strong focus on exam technique and mark schemes. My students typically improve by 2–3 grades through targeted practice and clear, exam-ready explanations. What sets me apart is my ability to break down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps, adapt to each student’s learning style, and ensure consistent progress through accountability. My lessons are designed to build confident, independent learners who achieve top grades. I’m passionate about teaching Biology and Chemistry and inspiring young people to enjoy and understand science. I love helping others learn, building their confidence and sharing my knowledge in an engaging way. I have recently completed my three-year Law degree and am about to begin my Master’s. Outside of studying and teaching, I enjoy reading, writing, travelling, learning languages and exercising. I also care deeply about our planet and enjoy working on projects that can help create a better future. My education has taken place across Canada, India, Estonia and the UK, giving me valuable experience of different education systems, teaching styles and learning environments. Studying in different countries has helped me develop a broad perspective on education and understand that every student learns in their own way. I recently completed my three-year LLB Law degree in the UK and am now preparing to begin a Master’s in Law, with the long-term goal of completing a PhD. Alongside Law, I have studied Biology, Chemistry and other science-related subjects and have completed additional courses to develop my knowledge and skills. My background across both science and law has strengthened my analytical, research and problem-solving abilities. My international education has also taught me to appreciate different approaches to learning, which helps me adapt my tutoring style to suit each student’s individual needs, goals and level of understanding. I am passionate about sharing science knowledge with young people and helping students become more confident, curious and enthusiastic about learning.

Hi, I am Naomi and I am thrilled to be your online tutor. I have had the pleasure of working with students from different ages and backgrounds. I am a tutor for Mathematics and my target students are primary to secondary students. Everyone has a unique learning style, and I like to adapt my teaching approach to meet each student’s needs. I use the online interactive whiteboard for lessons which allows both parties to write, annotate or highlight on the screen. The work for every lesson is carefully designed to suit each individual's need which is identified from initial assessment and ongoing observations. I enjoy teaching because I love helping students to develop their skills and achieve their academic goals. For A Level, I achieved A in Maths, Chemistry and Accounting and also B in Physics For GCSE, I had 9 GCSEs including 7 A in Maths, Science, Commerce, Geography, etc My academic excellence serves as a strong foundation in tutoring as I can explain concepts clearly ensuring students grasp the material effectively.
