I am a Masters student studying Applied Mathematics at the University of Birmingham, with a first-class degree in Mathematics from Aston University. I help GCSE and A-level students build confidence by explaining topics clearly, starting with simple examples and gradually working towards exam-style questions. I am patient, friendly and adaptable, and I take time to identify where each student is struggling. I achieved 988877776 in GCSEs from Sandwell Academy with a 9 in mathematics and then continued my A-Levels at Sandwell Academy achieving ABC in Mathematics, Economics and Further Mathematics respectively. I then attended Aston University achieving a strong first-class honours degree in mathematics. I now am undertaking a master’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of Birmingham.

I love languages! I am able to teach french and spanish in lower level, GCSE and A-level! I have been tutor for the last 7 years to people that range from 15 to 60 years old. Although I prefer working with adult students, I am also open to working with teenagers! I am experienced in the british exam system. I have been a tutor with GS for more than two years now! :) Being from Colombia, Spanish is my native language. However, I speak English and french fluently and I study other languages such as German, Dutch, Italian and Portuguese. As I have more experience tutoring French, I prefer students that are interested in this language. The thing I love the most about languages is how it broadens your way of thinking to unimagined borders. It's really amazing to understand people from different backgrounds and to see the world from other points of view. Besides languages, I also love creating digital art and dancing. Finally, I work as an engineer in France where I live since 2022! I studied french in the Alliance Française for almost 2 years before going in exchange to France in 2016. When I returned home in 2017, I started giving French lessons and learning how to manage my classes with students of all ages. I've been living, studying and working in France for more than 4 years now! On the tutoring end, I have had one on one Spanish and French classes for almost 8 years now.

I am a friendly, patient and enthusiastic tutor with over 1,000 hours of tutoring experience, supporting students across a wide range of ages and abilities. I specialise in Maths and the Sciences, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and have experience teaching across different exam boards. I focus on breaking difficult concepts down into simple, manageable steps and adapting my teaching style to suit each individual student. My lessons are interactive and supportive, with a strong focus on building confidence, improving exam technique and helping students understand the reasoning behind their answers. I am currently studying Biomedical Sciences at Brunel University London, where my degree has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of biology, chemistry and the wider biomedical sciences. Alongside my own education, I have gained over 1,000 hours of tutoring experience, working with students across a wide range of ages, abilities and academic levels. I have taught Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, supporting students from KS2 and KS3 through to GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level. I have also worked with students preparing for the 11+ and have experience adapting lessons for students who require additional support or a different approach to learning. I have taught students following several major UK examination boards, including AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas. This has given me a good understanding of the differences between specifications, assessment styles and mark schemes. I place particular emphasis on exam technique, applying knowledge to unfamiliar questions and helping students understand exactly what examiners are looking for. My tutoring approach is centred around making challenging concepts easier to understand. I break topics down into manageable steps, regularly check understanding and use practice questions to identify and address gaps in knowledge. I adapt my teaching to the individual student rather than using the same approach for everyone, whether they are aiming to secure the fundamentals, improve their confidence or work towards the highest grades. In addition to tutoring, I have experience working with young people as a Summer Sports Camp Coach at King’s College Taunton. This strengthened my communication, leadership and motivational skills and taught me how to keep young people engaged while maintaining a positive and supportive environment. Together, my academic background and extensive tutoring experience have given me the skills to support students effectively and help them make meaningful academic progress.
