Hi! I'm a Chemical Engineering student at the University of Birmingham, tutoring Maths and Science across GCSE and A Level. I got an A* in Chemistry, an A in Biology and an A in Maths at A Level, so I've been where you are, staring at past papers wondering if it'll ever click. Trust me it will. What makes me different? I won't just give you the answer. I will show you how to tackle questions and understand mark schemes better than ever before. These subjects trip people up for the same reason: you need to visualise problems, follow logical steps and remember key facts, all at once whilst trying not to fall intro traps set by the exam boards. I've done informal tutoring with friends and family, and the biggest lesson I've learned is students don't need someone smarter than them but instead they need someone patient, who explains things properly, ensure that they understand, and never makes them feel silly for asking twice. Expect sessions built around real exam technique, spotting how questions are phrased, and turning "I sort of get it" into "I've got this." I’m currently in my first year of Biomedical Science. I have a strong passion for the sciences, with an interest of sharing scientific knowledge with my peers and students. I have done my A levels Maths, Biology and Chemistry in the UK but I have a multicultural background as I moved from Italy. I used to spent my Saturday mornings teaching primary schoolers in Italy with additional learning needs. This choice was rooted by the fact that my own brothers have additional learning needs so that experience, combined with being multilingual (I can fluently speak in Hindi, Punjabi, and Italian), has shaped how I approach learning with patience making sure nobody is left behind. I want to become a tutor because it gives me satisfaction when I see students achieving their goals and see their self-confidence soar! I don't just want to teach subjects but I want to be a supportive part of their journey, helping them realize that no academic challenge is too big to overcome. I achieved my GCSEs (Maths, Physics, Combined Science, Philosophy, Latin, Italian Language and Literature, English, History, Social Sciences and PE) in Italy. After that I moved to the UK where I completed my GCSE in English language and Maths and an ESOL course at Tresham College in Corby. I continued my studies following my passion for the scientific subjects. I studied A level Maths, Chemistry and Biology, at the Corby Sixth Form, achieving a grade B in all three of my subjects. Currently I'm in my first year of Biomedical Science at the University of East Anglia. Additionally I also have completed an online course on careers available in the NHS and volunteered at my local hospital so I can provide mentorship for students interested in studying STEM degree and gain access in an health related career.
