Hi, I'm a second-year Aerospace Engineering student with a strong passion for Maths, Physics, and Computer Science. Throughout my studies, I have developed a solid understanding of these subjects and enjoy helping students build confidence in areas they may find challenging. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable steps and using real-world examples to make learning more engaging. I believe that every student can succeed with the right support, and I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their problem-solving skills. I am currently entering the second year of my Aerospace Engineering degree at university, where I am developing advanced knowledge in mathematics, physics, engineering principles, and programming. Prior to university, I completed A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science, subjects which continue to form the foundation of my degree studies. Alongside my academic studies, I have a strong interest in problem-solving and analytical thinking. I was awarded a Bronze Certificate in the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) competition and a Bronze Award in the British Physics Olympiad (BPhO), demonstrating my ability to apply mathematical and physical concepts to challenging problems beyond the standard school curriculum. I currently tutor Maths, Physics, and Computer Science, helping students improve both their understanding and confidence. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into manageable steps, using worked examples and real-world applications to make learning more engaging. As a current engineering student, I am able to show students how the topics they study are applied in higher education and industry.

I like to teach in a fun and relaxed environment focusing on giving assignments each week to confirm understanding of the session. I also go through past exam questions as part of my tutoring session to start preparing students to answer questions in a certain manner from day one so they can utilize the maximum number of marks. I hold an MPharm degree with Upper Second Class Honours from Kingston University, where my research on nanoparticle formulation was published and accepted by the American Association of Scientists. I subsequently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy with Healthcare and Leadership at the University of Exeter, achieving a Distinction, and a Postgraduate qualification in Technical Services and Quality Assurance at the University of Manchester, also with Distinction. Most recently, I completed an Independent Prescribing qualification at the University of Leicester, specialising in the management of adult asthma. My academic training has provided a strong foundation across clinical pharmacy, prescribing practice, quality assurance, leadership, and pharmaceutical services

Hi, I’m Maja! (Pronounced Maya). I’m an astrophysics graduate and a qualified secondary school science teacher. I’ve been through the full rollercoaster of science education, from fighting my way through a master’s degree and emerging with first-class honours, to teaching Year 9s on a Friday afternoon who would rather be anywhere else. Now I help GCSE and A-Level students believe what I already know: you can do this. My goal is to make science feel understandable, interesting, and even a bit fun. When I’m not teaching, you'll find me hanging upside down on an aerial hoop, or writing stories inspired by science and folklore. I went to secondary school in Hungary, where I was initially more interested in the humanities, until I fell in love with space and modern physics. For my leaving qualifications, I completed Advanced Exams in Mathematics and Physics and achieved an A. At university, I completed an integrated Master of Physics degree at the University of Southampton. My first three years focused on general physics (including lab work, mechanics, quantum physics, solid state physics, and wave physics) with a few modules of astronomy. During my master’s year, I had the incredible opportunity to conduct research at the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where I studied the relationship between black holes and their host galaxies and wrote my thesis on this topic. I graduated with first-class honours in Astrophysics. After university, I felt drawn to education and wanted to help students grasp the beauty of science, so I completed a year of school-centred initial teacher training. I now hold a PGCE with QTS as a qualified science teacher.

Hi! I’m Laureen Caitlin, a passionate Math tutor dedicated to helping students aged 11–18 build confidence and actually enjoy problem-solving. Math doesn’t have to be scary, and I’m here to prove that! I love breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand steps, making every lesson feel achievable and even fun. Seeing students go from “I don’t get it” to “I got it!” is what I love most about teaching. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy singing and exploring new hobbies which helps me bring positive energy and creativity into my lessons. I hold a Master of Arts in Education major in Mathematics from Far Eastern University and a PhD in Educational Leadership from Universidad de Dagupan. With years of teaching and tutoring experience, I specialize in guiding high school learners to master mathematical concepts with clarity, patience, and a student-centered approach. I am passionate about building confidence in learners and helping them develop a deeper understanding of Mathematics through structured, engaging, and supportive instruction.
