I’m Ashwini! I'm currently doing a Masters in Natural Sciences specialising in Maths and Physics. I tutor online for GCSE and A-level Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Combined Science. I love helping students get that “click” moment, turning tricky topics into something clear, confident, and even enjoyable! Lessons are high-energy but structured: we build understanding fast, practise the skills that earn marks, and get real progress. Outside tutoring I play piano, rock climb, train in the gym/boxing and enjoy art. I’m currently studying a Masters in Natural Sciences at Durham University, specialising primarily in Mathematics and Physics. My degree is highly quantitative and has given me strong problem-solving, clear mathematical communication, and the ability to break complex ideas into simple, teachable steps. This background means I’m particularly strong at teaching key GCSE and A-level areas where students often get stuck: building physical intuition in mechanics (forces, moments, energy, motion), vectors, and the maths that underpins progress: algebra, trigonometry, and calculus (differentiation and integration) taught in an exam-focused, step-by-step way. I also studied Chemistry modules in my first year, which strengthened both my subject knowledge and my ability to teach Chemistry clearly. I’m confident supporting students with the parts of Chemistry that often feel hardest: moles, organic chemistry, bonding and structure, equilibria, acids and bases, and practical-style questions where method matters. Overall, my education means I can help students not just memorise content, but understand it well enough to apply it confidently in exam questions.

I tutor with passion, purpose and a genuine commitment to helping every student reach their potential. My approach is flexible and completely student-centred, because I understand that every learner is different and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to education. Hi there. James here, from South Africa. I taught in London in Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and then in Johannesburg and Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa for a total of 21 years. I have taught Cambridge A Level History and England and South Africa's English and History curricula. I am also a published researcher, poet, and author. I enjoy cross-country running. I like NETFLIX mystery series. I regularly get out wilderness walking and cross country swimming. Since February 2025, I tutor English and Religious Studies for GoStudent. I battled with learning difficulties at school. However, I did very well after school, because I knew that English opens doors. So, I set goals. Then I achieved a B.A (1985) and a B. Ed (1996) degree, at Wits University in Johannesburg. I did a Masters Degree in Theology (Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., 2001) and a PhD in Church History (University of KwaZulu-Natal, 2016). I believe education is a lifelong journey. We master English every day for the rest of our lives. So I'm still learning as I tutor GCSE students, A Level students, and juniors, to reach their highest goals.

My name is Alinah Mampiti Thakhuli, and I am a passionate, hardworking, and dedicated university student currently completing my final year of a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry at North-West University. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, which have strengthened my ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging way. Teaching has always been one of my greatest passions.
