I have been a tutor for 2 years, specialising in Maths and English, but I am comfortable teaching a range of subjects. I am in my second year of university studying Law, which has given me many skills such as attention to detail and a strong work ethic. I transfer these qualities to tutoring, and my priority is helping students excel in their studies by providing effective and engaging lessons that tailor to each child's needs. I completed my GCSEs in The Abbey School and my A levels in Kendrick School, achieving results of a high standard that I was proud of. I am now studying Law in university, which has been a passion of mine for many years. I'm a friendly, patient and enthusiastic tutor who enjoys helping students develop their knowledge, skills and confidence in a supportive learning environment. I hold a BA in Community Education, an ILM Level 5 qualification in Coaching and Mentoring, and an ILM Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management. I work across schools teaching children in various subjects, particularly English. My teaching and training experience includes English, music, board game design, safeguarding and digital systems. I enjoy making lessons engaging and interactive through practical exercises, discussions, games and real-life examples. I adapt my teaching approach to each student's age, ability, learning style, level and individual goals. I believe learning should be enjoyable, encouraging and rewarding, with clear explanations, constructive feedback and opportunities to practise. You will also receive homework and flashcards at the end of each session. During the sessions, I work with my students through the agreed upon topic paying close attention to the core concepts, we go through some exam-style questions, and also learn how to frame the answers in the way examiners expect. I also share effecting studying and memory techniques to enable them to better learn and master their content. In my spare time, I enjoy singing (I'm currently taking a music theory class and hope to progress to one day play the cello) and dancing. These help me unwind and also have fun!
