Hi! I’m currently studying a maths engineering degree at university and I can’t wait to use the skills I’ve learned to help students with maths and science. I understand what it’s like to struggle with a STEM subject, so I approach my tutoring from a place of patience and sympathy. When a student doesn’t understand a concept, I focus on finding out exactly what piece of the puzzle they are missing, and will re-explain the idea in a way that works for them, as everyone learns differently! For secondary school I attended South Hampstead High School and took my GCSE’s and A Levels there. For my GCSEs I received a nine in maths, English literature , all three sciences, geography and computer science, and an eight in French, art and English Language. For my A levels I received an A star in maths, further maths and physics, and an A in computer science. Currently I’m loving studying an Engineering Mathematics degree at the University of Bristol and I just completed my first year. I’m set to do an integrated masters there as well.

Higher Education: MA in Philosophy and Psychology - University of Glasgow - Achieved 83% in my first year and am on track for another First-Class result in my second year. - As well as I have taken a course in Archaeology for my first and second years. Further Education: - Achieved straight A*-A grades in English Literature, Sociology, and Psychology. - Completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) on gambling motivations. - Self-taught A-Level Business Studies. Volunteering: - Events Coordinator, Glasgow's largest student fundraising initiative, helping to raise over £50,000 for Young Lives vs Cancer. - Volunteered with IntoUniversity, mentoring students for 25+ hours, receiving an award for contribution.

I hold a First Class B.Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics, a degree that has given me a deep understanding of how mathematical thinking shapes real‑world problem‑solving — from designing transport networks through graph theory to using statistical modelling to predict future events. I have been a private maths tutor for over 6 years, supporting students from 11+ through GCSE, A‑Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, including GCSE AQA Further Mathematics and OCR FSMQ Additional Mathematics. I am a calm, friendly GCSE and SATS English Literature and Language tutor who understands each students learning style to help students both grow in confidence and achieve the grades that they need. At A-Level, I studied English Literature and achieved a Grade B, further deepening my ability to interpret complex texts, explore writers’ methods and express ideas precisely in essays. I went on to study a BA (Honors) Criminology at the University of Liverpool, graduating with a 2:1. My degree involved extensive reading, critical thinking and academic writing, and I consistently worked with dense, challenging material that had to be broken down and explained clearly. For my dissertation, i achieved a first class grade (82%). This strengthened my skills in independent research, planning, structuring arguments and writing in a clear, persuasive style. I am now progressing to a Master’s in Social Science Research at Loughborough University, where I will be further developing advanced skills in essay writing, academic reading and detailed analysis. Across my education, I have built strong experience in breaking down complex pieces of writing, identifying key ideas and explaining them in simple, accessible ways.
