I am basically a B.Sc.-qualified technical person who became a language teacher while working as a computer programmer/systems analyst in Switzerland. This meant that the 3rd (industrial) year had to be spent in a French-speaking country and in my case that was Switzerland, where I spent a year at CERN in Geneva. To become an English language teacher I obtained the CTEFLA in Geneva in 1995 and went on to study for the DELTA.

Hi, I’m Hassan! I’m a second-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Bath with a strong academic background in Maths and Physics. I have two years of previous GCSE Maths tutoring experience, working with students from Year 7 to Year 11 across a range of abilities. I’m patient, approachable and enjoy breaking difficult topics down into clear, manageable steps. I tailor my explanations and lesson pace to each student, while using plenty of practice and exam-style questions to develop both understanding and confidence. My aim is to help students not only improve their grades, but become comfortable tackling problems independently. I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath and am entering my second year. My degree has a strong focus on mathematics, physics and engineering problem-solving and I achieved 82% (first class) in my first year. At A-level, I achieved an A* in Mathematics, an A in Physics and an A in Chemistry. I also achieved grade 9s in both Mathematics and Physics at GCSE. Alongside my academic studies, I have two years of experience tutoring GCSE Mathematics to students from Year 7 to Year 11, which has helped me develop clear and adaptable ways of explaining mathematical concepts.
