Hi, I’m Siham. I have been teaching English since 2019, both online and offline. I have 2 years of classroom teaching experience at an NGO and a language centre, as well as 5 years of online teaching experience. I hold a university degree in Science and am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in English Studies. I also hold a TESOL Methodology certificate from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and I am currently completing a 120-hour TESOL training course. Outside teaching, I enjoy painting, learning languages, watching movies, listening to music, reading, and trying new cuisines. Hi! I’m currently studying a maths engineering degree at university and I can’t wait to use the skills I’ve learned to help students with maths and science. I understand what it’s like to struggle with a STEM subject, so I approach my tutoring from a place of patience and sympathy. When a student doesn’t understand a concept, I focus on finding out exactly what piece of the puzzle they are missing, and will re-explain the idea in a way that works for them, as everyone learns differently! For secondary school I attended South Hampstead High School and took my GCSE’s and A Levels there. For my GCSEs I received a nine in maths, English literature , all three sciences, geography and computer science, and an eight in French, art and English Language. For my A levels I received an A star in maths, further maths and physics, and an A in computer science. Currently I’m loving studying an Engineering Mathematics degree at the University of Bristol and I just completed my first year. I’m set to do an integrated masters there as well.

Having been tutoring online over three years now with experience of both groups and individual tutoring sessions, I have gained hundreds of lessons of experience helping me become a more effective tutor. I have tutored both A level and GCSE level maths and physics, as well as A level psychology, GCSE geography and some KS3 sciences and maths. In lessons I like to use active recall throughout to ensure that students are absorbing the material. A typical session will start with a few questions to assess a student's initial understanding of a topic. We then go through the content - focusing only on areas where they need support - before finishing with some exam-style questions to consolidate their learning My speciality is AQA for most subjects, the main exception to that is A level maths in which I did OCR. I have just finished a masters in mental health research, after my undergraduate in natural sciences (specialising in physics and psychology). This followed my A levels in which I achieved A*'s in maths, psychology, physics, and geography. What makes me a great tutor is that I am patient by nature and I understand the situation you are in, this means I will always make sure you understand what you are required to know, and ensure I find a way of tutoring that best suits you, whether that be by doing numerous exam questions to ensure knowledge or by gaining understanding through analogies to sports. At school I did A levels in Mathematics, Physics, Psychology and Geography. I then went on to study Natural Sciences at the University of Nottingham, specialising in Mathematics, Physics and Psychology. Following my undergraduate degree, I completed an MSc in Mental Health Research and Practice, also at the University of Nottingham. My main areas of specialisation are Physics, Mathematics, Psychology and STEM subjects, with a particular focus on Physics at A level and STEM across GCSE and Key Stage 3.

I'm a first year medical student in London dedicated to teaching my students how to engage with their learning and achieve their academic goals. I tutor for GCSE Maths and Science for a variety of exam boards, such as AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas. As a full time student, I empathise with the difficulties students may encounter while navigating their chosen subjects of study. Having achieved 9-9-9-8 in my GCSEs three years ago, I am certain that I can enable my students to approach their learning with confidence. My first priority as a tutor is making my students feel comfortable with topics they feel are the most daunting, so they can eventually progress to tackling unfamiliar scenarios in questions. I teach using a wide variety of learning techniques, so that my students can explore what works best for them. Some include utilisation of past exam questions, recaps of previous lessons and whiteboard interactivity to reinforce my students' learning. I'm currently studying at UCl in its Medical School for the Medicine MBBS BSc degree. I achieved A*AA in my A Levels in Biology, Maths and Chemistry. I achieved 9-9-9-8 in Triple Science Higher and Maths. I attended grammar school for the entirety of my school experience.
