Hi! I’m Sunderani, an Accounting and Finance student at the University of Birmingham with two years of tutoring experience, both privately and in a school setting. I really enjoy helping students build their confidence, improve their understanding and achieve results they’re proud of. I achieved excellent GCSE results, including grade 9s in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Spanish and Drama and grade 8s in Physics, English Language and English Literature. I also achieved an A* in my Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Alongside university, I completed a year-long placement at Deloitte in external audit, where I developed my analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. I’ve also started my ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) qualification and successfully completed six exams so far. These experiences have strengthened my ability to break down complex information and explain it clearly, which I bring into my tutoring. I teach all KS3 subjects, a wide range of GCSE subjects and A-level Maths, Business and Chemistry. I’m familiar with all exam boards and hold an enhanced DBS certificate. Having been through GCSEs and A-levels myself, I understand how stressful exams can be and how much difference the right support can make. I adapt my lessons to suit each student’s learning style, whether that’s breaking down difficult concepts, practising exam questions or improving exam technique. I’m friendly, patient and approachable and I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to make them feel genuinely confident in their abilities! I am currently studying BSc Accounting and Finance with a Placement Year at the University of Birmingham. As part of my degree, I completed a year-long placement as a Senior Audit Associate at Deloitte, where I gained valuable professional experience in financial analysis, problem-solving and communicating complex information clearly. I have also begun studying towards the ICAEW Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification and have successfully completed six examinations so far. Prior to university, I attended an Independent School in London on a scholarship, where I studied A-level Mathematics, Business and Chemistry, alongside an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), for which I achieved an A*. I also hold a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) qualification and have completed first aid training. My academic background, professional experience and tutoring experience have given me a strong foundation in a wide range of subjects, as well as the ability to explain challenging concepts clearly and adapt my approach to different learning styles.
