I am a recent graduate of Biochemistry from the University of York where I got a 2:1. I have 3 A* A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I have experience of tutoring students doing GCSEs and A Levels and I strongly believe in the importance of understanding concepts completely so that they can be applied instead of rote memorisation. I have a strong passion for the sciences and maths and believe in their importance for understanding and moving through the world as well as becoming resilient to misinformation and misunderstanding. I attended St George's school where I got 10 GCSEs including 9s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English Language and an 8 in Maths. I then earned 3 A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I then attended the University of York studying Biochemistry where I attained a 2:1.

Hi! I’m Ann — a second-year medical student who loves painting, reading, and (recently) horse riding. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys learning new things, but I also understand how tough studying can feel when you’re stuck, stressed, or unsure where to start. That’s a huge part of why I tutor — I want to make learning feel lighter, clearer, and way less overwhelming. I’m not the type of tutor who just reads off a screen or throws information at you. I like to explain things in a simple, friendly way, break topics down into small steps, and make sure you actually understand the idea, not just memorise it. Everyone learns differently, so I always adjust the pace and style to whatever works best for you. I achieved all A* in chemistry, biology and maths at GCSEs, and an A in biology for A-level through my time as a student I developed effective study techniques, which I use to support students in their learning. Hi, im Lucas! I am a 22 years old and was born and raised in Manchester. I am currently in the 3rd year of studying medicine and really enjoy it! I have always been a science and history nerd since i was a kid, so it is no surprise that those are my favourite topics. My hobbies include studying history, calisthenics, poetry, travelling, and language learning. For secondary school, i went to North Chadderton school in Greater Manchester where i received 2 nines, 5 eights, two sevens, and a five (in Spanish). I also went to sixth form at North Chadderton, where i studied biology, chemistry, and physics, receiving 2 A's and B respectively.
