Before university, I achieved top marks in BTEC Applied Science, and my degree has continued to build on that foundation through detailed scientific study. I tutor GCSE Combined Science, Biology, and Chemistry, focusing on helping students properly understand topics rather than just memorising facts. I know science can become confusing quickly when concepts start building on each other, so I aim to explain things clearly, break them down into simple steps, and make them feel more manageable. My teaching style is patient, straightforward, and focused on what actually helps students improve. I want students to feel more confident with the subject, not just get through the lesson. I understand that different students learn at different paces, which is why I keep my explanations clear, structured, and tailored to how each individual learns best. Alongside my academic studies, I have experience teaching and guiding others through my role as an NCO in the Army Cadets, which helped me develop strong communication skills and a structured approach to helping people learn. My aim is to make science feel more approachable and to help students build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve stronger results. Healthcare & Industry Experience I have gained valuable experience in professional science and healthcare environments through working as a pharmacy assistant and completing work experience with GSK (GlaxoSmithKline). These roles have given me a broader understanding of how chemistry and biology are applied in real-world clinical and industrial settings, which I bring directly into my teaching.

I’m 20 years old and currently studying Aeronautical Engineering. My goal is to become an aircraft engineer for large scale commercial aviation in aircraft’s such as the 747. My hobbies include playing lots of rugby at home and for university, hiking to keep healthy, and cooking. I’m currently studying MEng Aeronautical Engineering at Durham University where I’m on track for a First-Class. I come from a mathematical background, taking Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at A-level where I achieved AAB. I am currently participating in a 14 week internship at Rosa Engineering Ltd, where I am travelling the UK across various power stations to help maintain and service areas to keep them operational. My recent activity including fitting a new transformer into Langage Power Station in Plymouth. After completing the masters degree I aspire to become a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).

I am an effective tutor. I’ve worked with SEN students including students with; dyscalculia, ADHD, dyslexia and autism. Whether you are looking to increase your grade by a little, or a lot I am here to get you to that full potential. I specialise in teaching GCSE maths and have led many students to get top grades. I work based on the students’ needs and I am very much able to adapt to their preferred learning style. I use exam questions from your exam board and continue to practice topics with you until you are fluent As I am a visual learner myself, I work with students particularly through diagrams, visual aids and in depth examples, drawn on interactive whiteboards as well as analogies to explain concepts required for their curriculum and more importantly, the final exam. Practice exam and past paper questions are key to unlocking the higher grades, and so I always integrate questions throughout the teaching of content during lesson to ensure the student understands and digests what they have learnt properly through application, you will never be short of exam practice in one of my lessons, as that is how the real exam will be like. There is always an open door policy to ask whatever questions you need to, whether that is in or out of lesson time, no question is too big or small. I look forward to guiding you into achieve the academic potential you and I know you are capable of. I achieved 5 grades 9’s and 5 grade 8’s at GCSE, this includes: - A 9 in Maths and Chemistry - An 8 in Biology and Physics. Hallo! Ich heiße Korinna Kilián. Ich studiere Psychologie und liebe mit Menschen zusammenarbeiten. In meiner Freizeit trainiere ich gerne und mache immer etwas kreativ, wie zum Beispiel zeichnen, tanzen oder etwas basteln.:) Außerdem höre ich gerne Musik, wandere und sehe Serien & Filme. Wenn es möglich ist, verbringe ich den ganzen Tag in der Natur. Meine Lieblingsaussicht ist der Sonnenuntergang. Meine Grundschule war die Innerstädtische Grundschule. Da bin ich im deutschen Klassenzug gegangen. Danach habe ich Deutsch als Fremdsprache im Leőwey Klára Gymnasium gelernt. Dort habe ich mein Sprachdiplom gemacht. Jetzt studiere ich an der Universität in Pécs. Mein Spezialgebiet ist Mathe, in der ich erfolgreich meine Abiturprüfung abgelegt habe.
