It's a thrill to help them improve their speaking and listening - as well as reading and writing skills. It's wonderful to see them grow in confidence when expressing themselves in English. I have been teaching English online for 4 years now. My teaching philosophy is student centered and interactive. I studied at University of Johannesburg from 2022 to 2025. Hi, my name is Sophie! I am a friendly, happy person, and I love teaching and talking about books. I have recently finished a job as a sports coach and am about to begin my journey as a children's nurse. My favourite types of text to read are Shakespeare and poetry. My availability will be consistent until early November, but then it will be altered. I attended Southend High School for Girls, where I did both my GCSE's and A-Levels. At A-level, I studied Art, History and English Literature, achieving B, A and A*. I went on to study English Literature at the University of Reading and got a 2:1 with a first class dissertation.

I’m currently a medical student and I really like passing my knowledge to young people and helping them achieve the goals that they want. I aspire to create a safe, friendly environment for students, where they can ask me for help whenever. With a deep passion for education, I strive to instil not only knowledge but also critical thinking skills and confidence in my students.
