Hi I'm Ria! I recently finished my A-Levels and am now studying at the University of Manchester. I know how daunting and stressful exams are, but I'm here to help! I received A*AA in A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Maths, respectively, so I know what examiners are looking for. I study Optometry at the University of Manchester, having achieved A*AA in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I have tutored peers throughout secondary school and sixth form, helping them build confidence and prepare effectively for exams. I specialise in A-Level Biology and Chemistry and GCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Maths.

I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Prior to my degree, I took three A-Levels in History, Maths and English, receiving all A*s, and prior to that, ten GCSEs, receiving all 9s.

"Hi Christine, Diarmuid here. I just got my results and I got the 2nd highest German grade you can get. You helped me so much and I can't thank you enough." Hello there! My name is Christine and I am a junior doctor. I have always been passionate about learning and sharing knowledge in a manner that's simple and enjoyable. With over 5 years tutoring experience, I focus on an engaging, holistic, and student-centric approach to tutoring, whilst sharing my passion and love for learning! I firmly believe the key to mastering anything is understanding the basics and then weaving them together to gain the bigger picture. I have worked diligently to hone my skils over the years, even applying them in my own studies in the medical field, and have been able to get testimonials such as the one above and: "Hi Christina only to let you know Felipe had a 6 in biology which is very good compared with the 3 in January! Hope we can work together from September. So, thank you x" - Pilar "Just to let you know Yousef passed all his GCSEs. Thank you." - Naz "Hii, it’s Mike. I just wanted to say thank you so much for helping me this year and I wouldn’t have done it without your help and support." During the sessions, I work with my students through the agreed upon topic paying close attention to the core concepts, we go through some exam-style questions, and also learn how to frame the answers in the way examiners expect. I also share effecting studying and memory techniques to enable them to better learn and master their content. In my spare time, I enjoy singing (I'm currently taking a music theory class and hope to progress to one day play the cello) and dancing. These help me unwind and also have fun! I look forward to extending this interesting mixture of fun and learning to my students and help the strike that oh-so-elusive balance between work and play so that they can become the best versions of themselves. Would you like to have similar testimonials as these? "hellooooo! hope your doing well. it’s the results day today, just letting you know that i got a 7 in german!! i am very happy with the results, thank you so much for all of your help i definitely wouldn’t have got this if it wasn’t for you 😁" - Shangami "Hello Christine, I hope you have had a good summer. Alastair wanted you to know he passed GCSE combined. He got 55 Score for his GCSE. He is now going to do A levels and considering btec science to compliment a level PE. Thank you for your support, you really made a difference." - Jill I'm available to work together with you/your student and I'm excited to help them achieve their highest potential. See you soon! Will S.
Hi, I'm Will! I'm studying Maths at the University of Warwick, and I've always loved Maths, which is why I'm here. I get that tricky topics can feel completely overwhelming at first. That's normal, and it's exactly what I'm here to help with. Instead of just handing you the answer, I'll work through problems alongside you, so you actually build the understanding (and confidence) to tackle similar questions on your own next time. Every student's different, so whether you're cramming for an exam, stuck on one specific topic, or just want to push your grades that bit further, I'll shape our sessions around what actually works for you. I'm patient, easy to talk to, and genuinely don't mind going over something five different ways until it clicks. At the end of the day, I just want you walking away from each session thinking "okay, that actually makes sense now." I am currently pursuing a Masters Degree at the University of Warwick, studying Mathematics and Statistics, averaging a first class grade of 75.9%. I have studied at d'Overbroecks for my secondary and college education, achieving grades 9 and 8 in GCSE Mathematics and English Language respectively, and achieving grades A* in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics and grade A in Computer Science at A-level.
