I am an effective tutor. I’ve worked with SEN students including students with; dyscalculia, ADHD, dyslexia and autism. Whether you are looking to increase your grade by a little, or a lot I am here to get you to that full potential. I specialise in teaching GCSE maths and have led many students to get top grades. I work based on the students’ needs and I am very much able to adapt to their preferred learning style. I use exam questions from your exam board and continue to practice topics with you until you are fluent As I am a visual learner myself, I work with students particularly through diagrams, visual aids and in depth examples, drawn on interactive whiteboards as well as analogies to explain concepts required for their curriculum and more importantly, the final exam. Practice exam and past paper questions are key to unlocking the higher grades, and so I always integrate questions throughout the teaching of content during lesson to ensure the student understands and digests what they have learnt properly through application, you will never be short of exam practice in one of my lessons, as that is how the real exam will be like. There is always an open door policy to ask whatever questions you need to, whether that is in or out of lesson time, no question is too big or small. I look forward to guiding you into achieve the academic potential you and I know you are capable of. I achieved 5 grades 9’s and 5 grade 8’s at GCSE, this includes: - A 9 in Maths and Chemistry - An 8 in Biology and Physics. My A-levels are as follows: - B in Biology - B in Chemistry. - B In Maths I am currently a first year Biomedical Science Student, and am teaching: - GCSE MATHS

Hello! I’m Ayan, a 5th year medical student with a genuine passion for learning, teaching, and helping others succeed. I’ve been tutoring since 2022, working with students from diverse backgrounds and adapting to different learning styles. One of the most rewarding aspects of tutoring is seeing students grow from feeling uncertain about a subject to approaching it with confidence. Through my medical studies, I’ve developed the ability to break down complex concepts into simple, clear, and easy-to-understand explanations. I bring this approach to my tutoring, alongside patience, dedication, and a genuine commitment to helping every student reach their potential. I understand how overwhelming schoolwork and exams can sometimes feel, so I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. I believe that no subject has to feel impossible with the right guidance and approach. Whether you need help understanding challenging science concepts, preparing for exams, or developing effective study habits, I’m here to help you build both your knowledge and your confidence. If you’re looking for a tutor who is approachable, reliable, and passionate about making learning easier and more enjoyable, I’d love to work with you! Together, we’ll break down challenging topics, celebrate your progress, and work towards achieving your academic goals. I specialize in Biology, Mathematics, Physics, and General Science, supporting students across a range of academic levels: Primary Lower (KS1) Primary Higher (KS2) Secondary Lower (KS3) Secondary Higher (KS4–KS5) I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs, learning style, and academic goals, making learning engaging and effective. As a fifth-year medical student, I use my scientific knowledge and problem-solving skills to explain challenging concepts in a clear and simple way. My teaching approach is patient and adaptable, helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and prepare for exams at their own pace. My goal is to make learning enjoyable while empowering every student to reach their full academic potential.

Hi, I’m Maja! (Pronounced Maya). I’m an astrophysics graduate and a qualified secondary school science teacher. I’ve been through the full rollercoaster of science education, from fighting my way through a master’s degree and emerging with first-class honours, to teaching Year 9s on a Friday afternoon who would rather be anywhere else. Now I help GCSE and A-Level students believe what I already know: you can do this. My goal is to make science feel understandable, interesting, and even a bit fun. When I’m not teaching, you'll find me hanging upside down on an aerial hoop, or writing stories inspired by science and folklore. I went to secondary school in Hungary, where I was initially more interested in the humanities, until I fell in love with space and modern physics. For my leaving qualifications, I completed Advanced Exams in Mathematics and Physics and achieved an A. At university, I completed an integrated Master of Physics degree at the University of Southampton. My first three years focused on general physics (including lab work, mechanics, quantum physics, solid state physics, and wave physics) with a few modules of astronomy. During my master’s year, I had the incredible opportunity to conduct research at the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where I studied the relationship between black holes and their host galaxies and wrote my thesis on this topic. I graduated with first-class honours in Astrophysics. After university, I felt drawn to education and wanted to help students grasp the beauty of science, so I completed a year of school-centred initial teacher training. I now hold a PGCE with QTS as a qualified science teacher.
