Hi! I’m a university student with an A in A-Level Mathematics and an 8 in GCSE Maths, and a genuine passion for helping students build confidence in maths. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs, whether they’re preparing for exams, catching up on topics, or aiming for top grades. I completed my GCSEs at Jo Richardson Community School, achieving qualifications in Mathematics, English, Combined Science, Geography, Music, Drama, and BTEC Business. I then completed my A Levels at the same school, studying Mathematics, Economics, and Geography, where I achieved an A in Mathematics. I am currently studying Accounting and Finance at university, where I continue to strengthen my analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills. My strong mathematical background, combined with my communication skills and patient approach, allows me to explain concepts clearly and adapt my teaching to suit different learning styles. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve their academic goals.

I am a fully English-educated student with a strong academic background in Mathematics. I achieved an A in A-Level Mathematics and have over 3 years of tutoring experience, completing 300+ hours of lessons. I have helped many GCSE Maths students improve their grades, with several achieving Grade 8s and 9s. I also participated in the UK Maths Challenge, achieving the highest score in my school, which developed my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Teaching Style My teaching style is student-centred, patient, and adaptable. I first identify the areas a student finds difficult and then break each topic down into simple, manageable steps. I use clear explanations, worked examples, and guided practice before encouraging students to tackle questions independently. I place particular emphasis on exam technique. I help students understand different question types, show their working clearly, avoid common mistakes, and apply their knowledge to unfamiliar problems. I adapt each lesson to the student's ability and goals, whether they are aiming to secure a pass or achieve a Grade 8 or 9. Proudest Achievements One of my proudest achievements is helping many GCSE Maths students achieve Grade 8s and 9s. Seeing students progress from struggling with a topic to confidently answering exam-style questions is extremely rewarding and is one of the main reasons I enjoy tutoring. My education has provided me with a strong foundation in Mathematics, science, and analytical problem-solving. I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics, in 2013 and later completed a Master of Education in Mathematics in 2018. With a decade of teaching experience, I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to reach their full academic potential. I utilize a variety of instructional techniques and materials, including online resources, to accommodate diverse learning styles and ensure that each student has the tools they need to succeed. My approach focuses on guiding students toward their educational goals, whether transitioning to postsecondary education, pursuing vocational paths, or achieving personal growth. I continuously assess and document both the academic and social progress of my students, maintaining thorough records and analyzing data to inform my teaching strategies. To keep parents and guardians involved, I communicate regularly through multiple channels and hold conferences as needed to discuss individual progress, aligning with school requirements and ensuring a collaborative approach to each student's development.
