I have just started university and I am eager to help my students in a supportive way with a dynamic based on mutual respect. Outside of my studies I love to watch football, go on hikes in the South Downs and read the financial times, as I am of course interested in any developments in markets. I went to Sackville School, East Grinstead and completed 12 GCSE's and one level 2 certificate in Further Maths, all at grade 7 and above. I then progressed to my A-Levels, achieving A*AAA in Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics. During my time I also gained a Gold Certificate in the Senior Maths Challenge and participated in the Senior Maths Kangaroo, whilst also participating in the FCDO Next generation Economics essay competition.

I hold a First Class B.Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics, a degree that has given me a deep understanding of how mathematical thinking shapes real‑world problem‑solving — from designing transport networks through graph theory to using statistical modelling to predict future events. I have been a private maths tutor for over 6 years, supporting students from 11+ through GCSE, A‑Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, including GCSE AQA Further Mathematics and OCR FSMQ Additional Mathematics. I also tutor 11+ Maths and Non‑Verbal Reasoning. My students consistently achieve excellent results, with 90% securing a place at their first‑choice school, or obtaining grade 9/A* in GCSE Mathematics and A-level Mathematics. Alongside private tutoring, I have taught for a year in a local comprehensive school, gaining classroom experience across KS3, GCSE Mathematics, Level 2 Further/Additional Maths, A‑Level Maths, Further Maths and Statistics. I am proficient in a range of software including R, Python, SPSS, MiniTab, SQL, and MatLab.

Languages: English and Spanish. I am a native Spanish and Dr in social anthropologist at the the University of Manchester. I teach Sociology and Media Studies at all Levels including GCSE, A-Level including IB curriculum and exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, 11+ and Cambridge International. I also teach Spanish to adult students at different levels. My teaching philosophy is shaped by my academic background in anthropology and interest in how culture influence the production of knowledge. I also have knowledge in film studies and skills in audio-visual production. I can support students in their academic and artistic creative process. In my teaching, I link the learning material and cultures to engage in communication with the students and contextualise what we are learning. Cycling, climbing and the love for animals are some of my main personal interests. I love travelling and I am currently living in Berlin.

I would describe my teaching style as engaging and adaptable I maintain an open stance towards feedback and novel ideas. I encourage my students to think beyond conventional boundaries, nurturing their unique style and thought paradigm. I strive to push them to present convincing and innovative points. However, I make lessons very practical; there is a science behind English and I can teach anybody how to improve because I know that. I am passionate about English because I believe it is an evergreen discipline. I love the theories and conversations that English illuminates and evokes in all its forms. Studying English language and literature was truly inspiring for me. My A level studies encompassed a multi-modal exploration, including speeches, plays, books, diaries, interviews, poems, comics, and blogs. This comprehensive exploration challenged me to grasp the nuanced aspects of communication, persuasion and emotion. Moreover, it granted me the opportunity to glean insights from numerous authors representing diverse cultural and historical backgrounds. Hence, I am a better communicator and empathetic person which shines through my teaching.
