I’m an aerospace engineer and passionate educator with a deep love for science, learning, and space exploration. With over 5 years of teaching experience across learning centers and online platforms, I believe every student has the potential to excel. It is about finding the right approach. I’m multilingual, naturally curious about how things work, and genuinely invested in helping students not just pass exams, but develop a real understanding of the material. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Double Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, complemented by a formal Teaching Diploma. Throughout my academic journey, I consistently ranked in the top of my cohort—including ranking 6th nationally in official examinations. My technical background combined with specialized teacher training means I can explain mathematics and physics concepts with both depth and clarity, tailored to students at all levels from Primary through A-Level and GCSE. Hello! My name is Erin, I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Birmingham. As a tutor, my main aim is to quickly determine a students weaknesses, then create a dedicated study plan to help them improve in those areas. I believe that active recall, spaced repetition, and lots and lots of past paper questions - are the key to success! I am well versed in tutoring students of all ages; I have tutored various students ranging from ages 6 to 16 in a variety of different settings. I am also experienced in entrance exam tutoring. Having sat several entrance exams over my lifetime, I understand how to make a study plan that is both time efficient and effective, and how to utilise this study plan effectively. I have previously mentored students who wish to study medicine through UCAS, entrance exam and interview preparation; several of them currently study at top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge! In my spare time, I am a highly creative person - I frequently attend dance classes, I music direct/conduct my university choir, and I scrapbook! I also love to read :) Currently attending the University of Birmingham Medical School - 1st year, Medicine. Attended a top London Grammar school; where I achieved 10 A*s (Grades 8-9) at GCSE level, and 3 As at A level in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. In addition to educational qualifications, I also study the piano; I have completed my Grade 8 and am currently working towards my diploma in Music Performance!
