Hello! My name is Blessy and I am currently a 4th year medical student with over six years of tutoring experience, including three years on the GoStudent platform. Outside of academics, I enjoy going to the gym, watching films and reading in my spare time. Alongside tutoring, I also lead teaching sessions for other medical students at my university, which has strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and adapt to different learning styles. I take a patient and supportive approach and am particularly experienced in working with students who may feel shy, lack confidence or struggle with focus, helping them feel more comfortable and engaged in their learning! I achieved seven 9s, two 8s, one 7, two Distinction* grades, and one Distinction grade at GCSE (all sat in person), as well as A-level grades in Chemistry, Biology, and Maths. I am currently a medical student studying abroad. My academic background and experience mean I am very familiar with the demands of these subjects. This, combined with a patient, structured approach means I am well equipped to support students in developing a strong foundation of understanding and implementing effective study strategies to help them succeed!

About me I love to travel, explore new places and meet people from different cultures. I spent ten years living in Athens, Greece where I worked as a private tutor: teaching TEFL to a wide variety of people - from complete beginners to students wishing to take Cambridge Proficiency exams in order to access UK universities. I have a BA Hons degree in Modern Languages: English/French with a module in Classical Greek Language and Literature. I believe in stress-free lessons , and learning in a relaxed setting. As a tutor I am not there to add pressure, but to help take pressure off. In terms of hobbies, I love reading, writing stories, and watching Turkish TV dramas. I am also a huge tennis fan. Last, but not least, I enjoy all forms of sugar - especially cake! Aside from my degree, I am qualified to teach TEFL. I really enjoy working with those who don't have English as a first language. It's a thrill to help them improve their speaking and listening - as well as reading and writing skills. It's wonderful to see them grow in confidence when expressing themselves in English. Furthermore, I am qualified to do proofreading. This fits in well with teaching English. I also have a certificate in Counselling Skills.

Hello! My name is Shruti and I have always been fascinated by technology and how it shapes the world we live in. I have a strong passion for mathematics and science. I enjoy the challenges of solving complex problems and finding different solutions, which strengthen analytical thinking as well as problem-solving skills. I believe this is very important because it helps us to understand problems better and enables us to break them down into smaller, more manageable parts, which is also very crucial to learn. This also allows us to evaluate options logically instead of just guessing. Alongside this, I love listening to music. Listening to different genres helps me to relax and stay motivated; it also enhances my focus, concentration and memory. For me, music also works by blocking out distractions and creating a very steady rhythm for the brain to follow, which further increases my level of concentration. I also enjoy learning different languages because I believe this helps with connecting to different people from diverse backgrounds. Cognitively, learning a new language strengthens memory, problem-solving skills, as well as concentration. Altogether, these skills helped me to build confidence and independence. Therefore, I became better at explaining new ideas clearly and in an easily understandable way. I also became better at learning new things and finding solutions quickly to different problems. This is extremely essential in fields like engineering and tutoring! Throughout my academic years, I have attended Queen Mary's High School, and after that, I attended Queen Mary's Grammar School for sixth form. Currently, I am a first year Computer Engineering Student at the University of Birmingham.During my school years and university so far, I have completed assignments, projects which have helped me to develop my analytical thinking skills and experience explaining difficult concepts easily. Furthermore, I have also done mentoring before in school, where I was teaching maths to a GCSE student, and this also enabled my skills to improve and gave me more experience of teaching.

Languages: English and Spanish. I am a native Spanish and Dr in social anthropologist at the the University of Manchester. I teach Sociology and Media Studies at all Levels including GCSE, A-Level including IB curriculum and exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, 11+ and Cambridge International. I also teach Spanish to adult students at different levels. My teaching philosophy is shaped by my academic background in anthropology and interest in how culture influence the production of knowledge. I also have knowledge in film studies and skills in audio-visual production. I can support students in their academic and artistic creative process. In my teaching, I link the learning material and cultures to engage in communication with the students and contextualise what we are learning. Cycling, climbing and the love for animals are some of my main personal interests. I love travelling and I am currently living in Berlin.
