I am a qualified teacher with 4 years of experience in teaching English. I currently teach Grade 1 learners in South Africa. I believe that learning should be fun and encourage a holistic development. I enjoy reading and hiking. I also enjoy trying out different kinds of food. I completed my matric at Wordsworth High school, thereafter I enrolled for Hospitality Studies at the International Hotel School and graduated in 2017. I further enrolled at the University of KwaZulu Natal for my BEd Degree and specialized in the Foundation Phase. I am currently a Foundation Phase teacher and teach Grade 1 learners. I have experience of tutoring Maths at both GCSE and A level and I thoroughly enjoy helping people to achieve their mathematical ambitions! I graduated from Durham University with a first class honours degree in Mathematics after studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and French at A level. I have various interests, ranging from cricket to quizzes, with Maths having always been one of them – helping others to work on this subject is a privilege. I am a graduate of Durham University where I attained a first class honours degree in Mathematics. I studied four subjects at A level and received a grade of A* for Maths and Further Maths. At GCSE level, I attained grades of a 9 in Maths and an 8 in Further Maths. Maths has always been at the centre of my education and I have experience of studying several different areas of the subject, including Pure Maths, Statistics and Mechanics.

I hold a strong academic and professional background in Spanish language, culture, and education. I graduated in Hispanic Studies and later completed an MA at the University of Glasgow, where I developed advanced knowledge of Spanish and Latin American literature, history, politics, and cultural studies. My academic training gave me a deep appreciation of the richness and diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, from Golden Age literature to contemporary Latin American society. I am also a published poet. I have experience of teaching English Language and Literature. Alongside my academic qualifications, I also completed a PGCE and obtained Qualified Teacher Status through the St Mary's University. This provided me with strong pedagogical foundations in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and differentiated learning. I have experience teaching students of different ages and abilities and aim to create engaging lessons that build both confidence and linguistic competence. I have lived and travelled extensively in Spain and Latin America, experiences that significantly enriched my understanding of regional accents, idiomatic language, social customs, and cultural traditions. These experiences allow me to bring authenticity and real-world context into the classroom. My particular interests include Hispanic literature, contemporary Spanish and Latin American politics, cultural identity, film, and music. I am especially interested in helping students understand not only the mechanics of the language but also the cultural perspectives that shape communication across the Spanish-speaking world. I believe language learning should be intellectually stimulating, culturally immersive, and accessible to all learners. I attended Westminster School (10 O levels, 3 A levels), attained a 2:1 MA in Hispanic Studies at the university of Glasgow, completed my phd finance modules at university of Essex in 0212, received my QTS and PGCE from St Mary's university in 2024. I taught Spanish at Three Rivers Academy and GNSA in Hayes. My specialisations are Hispanic Culture, Literature and Art. I am an expert on world poetry and drama.
