About me

I hold a First Class B.Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics, a degree that has given me a deep understanding of how mathematical thinking shapes real‑world problem‑solving — from designing transport networks through graph theory to using statistical modelling to predict future events. I have been a private maths tutor for over 6 years, supporting students from 11+ through GCSE, A‑Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, including GCSE AQA Further Mathematics and OCR FSMQ Additional Mathematics. I also tutor 11+ Maths and Non‑Verbal Reasoning. My students consistently achieve excellent results, with 90% securing a place at their first‑choice school, or obtaining grade 9/A* in GCSE Mathematics and A-level Mathematics. Alongside private tutoring, I have taught for a year in a local comprehen...

Hector C.

Hi! My name is Hector, and I am a 3rd year Biochemistry Student at The University of Warwick. My aim is to help people feel confident in Biology. As a university student, I understand how frustrating it can be when a topic just doesn't make sense. My approach is patient and clearly structured, with a focus on making sure the student not only knows what the answer is, but why it is the answer. Outside of my studies I enjoy going to the gym, playing padel and reading. I hope you will find my lessons enjoyable! I attended The Portsmouth Grammar School where I completed my GCSEs and A Levels. I studied Biology, Chemisty and Maths at A Level. After A Levels I took a year out where I worked as a ski instructor, gaining a Level 2 CSIA qualification, which allowed me to work with a large variety of clients. Currently, I am in my 3rd year of Biochemistry at The University of Warwick with a predicted First-Class, after which I'm going to undertake a masters. I'm love all biology, but my studies currently focus on oncology and molecular cell biology.

I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Prior to my degree, I took three A-Levels in History, Maths and English, receiving all A*s, and prior to that, ten GCSEs, receiving all 9s.

Hassan Z.

Hi, I’m Hassan! I’m a second-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Bath with a strong academic background in Maths and Physics. I have two years of previous GCSE Maths tutoring experience, working with students from Year 7 to Year 11 across a range of abilities. I’m patient, approachable and enjoy breaking difficult topics down into clear, manageable steps. I tailor my explanations and lesson pace to each student, while using plenty of practice and exam-style questions to develop both understanding and confidence. My aim is to help students not only improve their grades, but become comfortable tackling problems independently. I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath and am entering my second year. My degree has a strong focus on mathematics, physics and engineering problem-solving and I achieved 82% (first class) in my first year. At A-level, I achieved an A* in Mathematics, an A in Physics and an A in Chemistry. I also achieved grade 9s in both Mathematics and Physics at GCSE. Alongside my academic studies, I have two years of experience tutoring GCSE Mathematics to students from Year 7 to Year 11, which has helped me develop clear and adaptable ways of explaining mathematical concepts.
