This is a key part of my teaching because knowing the content alone is not always enough to achieve the highest grades. Students also need to understand exactly what examiners are looking for, how to structure their answers and how to apply their knowledge under exam conditions. I also provide homework between lessons, where appropriate. This may include exam questions, additional research, revision tasks or planning longer written answers. This helps reinforce what we have covered and allows me to identify anything that needs further attention in the next lesson. Whether a student is struggling with a subject, looking to improve by a few grades or aiming for the top grades, I adapt my teaching to their current level and goals. My approach is straightforward: understand the content, develop strong exam technique, practise consistently and build confidence.
