I believe that I'm a very positive person that has an enthusiastic perspective on life. I get a great sense of achievement from seeing my students develop and grow as individuals. If I can have some sort of positive impact on their life, I feel fulfilled and that I am doing my job well. As a medical student with over six years of tutoring experience and more than 5000 online sessions, I specialize in teaching the Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Literature and Language, Computer Science, History, Geography, French. My lessons are dynamic, engaging, and tailored to meet the specific needs of each child, resulting in a high success rate for students passing these exams. I employ an adaptive teaching style that combines elements of dialogic teaching, scaffolding, and personalized instruction. Before each lesson, I meticulously prepare by reviewing the student's progress, assessing their strengths and areas for improvement, and aligning the content with their learning goals. This targeted approach enables me to provide effective instruction and address any gaps in understanding. Utilizing a range of resources such as textbooks, visual aids, online materials, and interactive exercises, I cater to diverse learning styles and maintain a stimulating learning experience. During our sessions, I prioritize active engagement, encouraging students to ask questions, seek clarification, and actively participate in discussions. By fostering a supportive environment, I aim to nurture critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deeper conceptual understanding. This approach, combined with my specialization in the Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Literature and Language, Computer Science, History, Geography, French, has resulted in a high success rate for students achieving their desired grade. Between lessons, I emphasize independent learning and practice, providing supplementary materials, recommending relevant resources, and suggesting exercises to consolidate knowledge. I expect students to take ownership of their learning journey, dedicating time outside of our sessions to review, practice, and apply the concepts learned. By doing so, they not only reinforce their understanding but also develop self-discipline and resilience, which contribute to their success in the targeted exams. In summary, my specialized tutoring in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Literature and Language, Computer Science, History, Geography, French, combined with an adaptive teaching style, active engagement, personalized instruction, and a focus on critical thinking, ensures a high success rate for students passing these exams. With thorough preparation, interactive sessions, and a commitment to fostering independent learning, I strive to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in these specific exams. Hi, I’m Christopher Jordanou, a Finance BSc student at Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London, with over two years of tutoring experience. I specialise in: * Economics – A Level & GCSE (Edexcel) * Mathematics – GCSE (Edexcel) * Business Studies – GCSE (Edexcel) * Biology – GCSE (AQA) * Physics – GCSE (AQA) I achieved an A in A Level Economics, alongside GCSE grades of 9 in Business Studies, 8 in Mathematics, 8 in Biology and 7 in Physics. Most importantly, I have a proven track record as a tutor. This past academic year, three of my students achieved A/A* grades, which I am extremely proud of. My aim is not simply to help students learn the content, but to give them the understanding, exam technique and confidence needed to achieve their full potential. How I teach I start by working through the relevant exam-board specification with each student to identify their strengths, weaker areas and the topics where they need the most support. This allows me to create lessons around the individual student rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. We then work through each topic thoroughly, focusing first on understanding the fundamentals. I believe students perform much better when they genuinely understand a topic rather than simply trying to memorise information. Once the student is comfortable with the content, we move on to exam-style questions and past-paper practice. This is a key part of my teaching because knowing the content alone is not always enough to achieve the highest grades. Students also need to understand exactly what examiners are looking for, how to structure their answers and how to apply their knowledge under exam conditions. I also provide homework between lessons, where appropriate. This may include exam questions, additional research, revision tasks or planning longer written answers. This helps reinforce what we have covered and allows me to identify anything that needs further attention in the next lesson. Whether a student is struggling with a subject, looking to improve by a few grades or aiming for the top grades, I adapt my teaching to their current level and goals. My approach is straightforward: understand the content, develop strong exam technique, practise consistently and build confidence. I took 10 GCSEs achieving 7s and above in all including an 8 in Maths, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Geography and a 9 in Business studies. At A level I studied Economics, Geography and Maths. I had achieved an A in all three at A level. I currently study finance BSc at Bayes Business School City University of London.
