Hello! My name is Kiera and i have a first class degree in Modern History. I am still at university working towards my masters degree now! Like you when, i was in school i needed tutoring to build up my confidence and subject knowledge, and without the tutoring i had ,i truly do not think i would be where i am today- and have such a passion for learning. While i love learning- i am human and need some winding down time. My favourite hobby is exercise and second to that is cooking as it lets my creative side come out! Other hobbies of mine include: reading and travelling. I hope on gostudent i can support you with specific subject knowledge and introduce you to useful and EFFECTIVE ways to learn or revise. More importantly i want to help build up your confidence; often you know a-lot more than you think you do. But, if not, i can support you to getting to a place of assurance in your desired subject- we will work together to get you to a level you want to be. As a tutor i want to scrub up and polish the foundations you already have- which i am confident will bring closer to your target grade! I look forward to embarking on this journey with you!

Lower Level: History and English GCSE: History and English Literature/Language A-Level: History, English Literature, Government and Politics Exam Board Experience: AQA and Edexcel Preferred Student Age Group: Primary/GCSE/A-Level About me: Hi! I'm Charlotte! I have just finished studying my Master’s in International Relations with International Law. I previously studied, and obtained, a B.A. in History. I have always loved learning, and helping people wherever I can. English and History were always my favourite subjects during school. I have been tutoring for two and a half years now, specialising in English and History. It has been amazing watching my students grow in their education and helping them achieve the best possible grades. I enjoy reading in my spare time, particularly fantasy books, and going for long walks along the beach by my house. Alongside reading and beach walks, I enjoy playing Xbox with my family and friends. I am looking forward to meeting you! I have just graduated with my Master's in International Relations with International Law. I am fascinated by politics and law, and looking at the different ways the world functions and works together, or against one another. I have a B.A. in History from the University of York. History was one of my all-time favourite subjects, I had an amazing teacher during my GCSE’s which helped fuel my love for the stories of the past. A-Levels: English Literature, History, Government and Politics, and Religious Studies.

Hello, my name is Kirstie and I have been teaching for 22 years. I live in the middle of France, close to a small spa town and am surrounded by fields, farms and hills. I have spent time both in British secondary schools and in schools in Vietnam and Singapore. My main subject and passion is the study of History and I can teach this from Key Stage 3 all the way up to A-Level. My favourite period is the Tudors and I particularly enjoy the stories of the women of this time. I also teach and tutor KS3 English and GCSE English Language and English Literature and am very familiar with AQA, Eduqas and Edexcel exam boards. I also have experience teaching Geography up to GCSE and find the two subjects actually quite complement each other with many of the themes over-lapping. I discovered a love for geography from my love of the great outdoors – I would often find myself on the top of a mountain admiring glacial landscapes and wondering how all the features were formed. This in turn links to my philosophy for education: I believe education should be a journey of discovery that allows the learner to move forwards with their knowledge and understanding of the world around them without putting them under so much pressure that they don’t enjoy it. I believe that effort is necessary in order to be successful, but that learning should not be a struggle or something that is dreaded. I am here to help students achieve their goals and become successful members of their community. In my spare time I enjoy running, hiking, cycling and drinking coffee with friends. I have 1 cat, 28 chickens and have been married for 11 years. As well as my degree in History and English and Literary Studies and my PGCE History, I have a TESOL certificate. I spent a month in Prague getting my TESOL and then taught ESL in Vietnam for 2 years. Outside of classroom education, I have my Lowland Leader award and spent 4 years running the Duke of Edinburgh award at my school.

Hello! My name is Najma and I study History at the University of Birmingham. I'm Joe a, final year politics student at the Univeristy of Liverpool. During my time at university and before I've enjoyed tutoring originally only in person but for the last three years with GoStudent, aside from this, I'm currently involved with multiple societies such as the Ski, Badminton and Pool societies. Moreover, my interest in politics and social sciences is not confined to my degree, I enjoy reading on these topics outside of the University reading list, particularly history. Through this variety of interests, tutoring is something which simultaneously benefits from them and aids them by expanding my own understanding of these topics. Therefore tutoring is more akin to a hobby than a job for me due to my enjoyment of it. Throughout, my academic career I have enjoyed a wide range of subjects. originally my interests were only in history, and although this is still a favourite, my areas of knowledge have grown more varied. For instance, I'm now studying politics at university, which has been a great eye-opener. Furthermore studying politics has brought me into contact with more areas of study such as economics, media, business and geography. However, I have studied all of these to varying levels before university. My interest has led to me attaining a 2:1 grade each year of study. Moreover last year I spent a year in industry at Liverpool City Council putting the theory into practice further adding to my understanding of all the subjects mentioned above. Finally, tutoring has only added to my academic knowledge, they say the best way to learn something is to teach it to someone else, and I'm certainly a believer in that.

Hi I am Albert! I am currently studying for a Master degree in Health Economics at the University of York. I obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics, also from the University of York. My A-Levels were in Mathematics, History and Economics from a college in Leeds. I am excited to tutor in GCSE & A-Level Economics, helping students grasp economic concepts and master their essays needed to succeed in their AQA, OCR and Edexcel exams and beyond. My passion lies in the health sector which requires advanced knowledge of microeconomic and macroeconomic methods including, game theory, demand and producer theory, general equilibrium analysis and equity/equality principles. I am also keen to tutor GCSE & AQA A-Level History, particularly to help students wrestle with the challenges of examining events from an economic perspective. During my A-Levels I studied British Empire 1857-1967 and Germany 1918-1945, whilst during my degree I studied Economic History throughout 1500-2000. I wish to build upon my experiences of tutoring students on the University of York's Next Step Program. I am bilingual in English and Polish. My main interests are basketball where my favourite player is Luka Doncic , Formula 1 where my favourite driver is Charles Leclerc, hiking, cooking and travelling. I obtained a First-Class grade for my Bachelor of Economics degree from The University of York. My best piece of work was my dissertation on medical technology and spending growth in the United States. I proved that TPF is an accurate appropriator of technical progress and concluded that every month, more than $1,000,000,000 is spent on improving medical technology in the USA to help patients! My postgraduate research focuses on the cost-effectiveness and expected value of sampling information with regards Low-Level-Laser Therapy in the treatment of oral mucositis from Head and Neck Cancers. I completed an internship with Hammond Partners London, where I successfully found and linked up talented individuals with roles at hedge funds!
