I'm Mary, an Exeter University graduate with a first class English honours degree. I am an experienced tutor having tutored both online and in my local community for two years. I have familiarity and experience with the UK English curriculum, having taught 11+ English, Key Stage 3, Creative Writing, GCSE English Language and Literature, and A Level English to many students around the local area and online. I have taught a myriad of students from different exam boards and always take care to cover their specific curriculum with them before they begin. I also regularly review topics we have studied together in the past and will go through planning responses to exam style questions using my brainstorming method which students seem to find very helpful! I am a 2nd year Maths student at the University of Warwick, with a particular interest in Algebra and Modelling. I have done lots of tutoring for A-level Maths and Further Maths students. Students of mine have gone on to study at prestigious universities including Oxford and Imperial. I am looking to help year 12 and 13 A-level students with their revision before their upcoming exams. Outside of academics, I am a cross country and long distance runner, competing for my university and have completed multiple half marathons and even a marathon. My name is Monica and I have just graduated from St. Andrews with an MA in history and social anthropology. I always loved history and indeed still do. I choose to study anthropology because my English teacher got rather annoyed at my consistent questions about the characters' lives. "Just go study anthropology then" - and that is what I did. I am have graduated with a further masters with distinction in the history of Scotland and am moving onto a PHD this October. I love being able to combine my two passions in one degree. I try to explain it as anthropology giving an understanding of the present and history of the past. The marriage of the two academic subjects is interesting, indeed. For example, for my dissertation in the School of Anthropology looks at the community in Glasgow in 1592; tracking the influence of the Reformation at a local freedom. School exams definitely prepare you well for university expectations! There were some things that stood out for me at school as helping. I think you have to look after yourself as well as sticking to a study plan, definitely schedule breaks as well as something nice every now and again. I also think essay plans are key for the arts and english examinations and that is something I would be keen to help students create. Ultimately you need to understand the content, not merely recite a list of facts, once you do it is far easier to remember and argue your point in an exam.

Hi, my name is Katia! I am a primary school level English and Maths tutor, and I am also available to tutor for the 11 plus entry exams. I have just graduated with a first-class honours degree in English Literature with Creative Writing from Bristol University. After University, I am hoping to get my TEFL qualification in order to teach English abroad so my goal is to have a future in teaching. Hence my interest in tutoring as I love working with kids and I feel very confident with the subject matter, particularly in English as I have studied this at a higher degree and it is what I am most passionate about. Hi! I am a third-year engineering student at the University of Kent. I plan on tutoring in my free time while completing the final year of my bachelor's degree. I’m Nabeel, a highly motivated and hard-working individual currently studying Medicine at the University of Manchester.
