Lower Level: Mathematics GCSE: Mathematics Exam Board Experience: Edexcel Languages: English (Fluent), Filipino (Native) Preferred Student Age Group: Any About me: I study mechanical engineering at Queen Mary University of London (a member of the Russell Group universities). Whether we acknowledge it or not, maths and science are all around us in many obvious and invisible ways from how your wifi sends and receives data to how planes can fly. I chose engineering because it allows me to put my knowledge of maths and science to practical use in being able to create something in the real world. Everything man-made you can think of is the product of engineering. Because of this, knowledge is power, and with the right knowledge and tools, anyone can design anything. I aim to inspire students by making learning enjoyable, through a process that is at the student's pace - no pressure - and showing real-life applications in a topic to both prove its usefulness and to hopefully spark an interest in the subject. I will make sure that the student actually understands a topic so that they can not only answer standard exam questions easily but so that they can also use their solid knowledge of the topic to answer unfamiliar, "tricky" exam questions. Truly understanding a subject or topic in combination with a real interest in it can stick with someone for a lifetime. Being able to truly learn something happens when someone wants to, not because they have to. I also love music. I like to sing and play the guitar and piano.

I am an undergraduate Electrical and Electronic Engineering student at Imperial College London with over two years of tutoring experience. I specialise in Maths, Further Maths and Physics at GCSE and A-Level. I have worked for a professional tutoring company, tutored students privately and volunteered as a tutor in schools. My teaching style focuses on developing strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills rather than simply memorising methods. I encourage students to think through problems independently while breaking difficult concepts into manageable steps when needed. This allows me to identify misconceptions, strengthen their foundations and build their confidence. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to their individual ability, goals and learning style. I aim to create engaging lessons while supporting students with exam preparation, schoolwork, planning and their wider academic development. I am currently studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering as an undergraduate at Imperial College London, where my degree involves extensive use of mathematics, physics, problem-solving and analytical thinking. At A-Level, I achieved A* in Mathematics, A* in Physics, A in Further Mathematics, A in Economics and A in my Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). At GCSE, I achieved grade 9s in all but one of my subjects, with a grade 7 in the remaining subject. My academic background has given me a strong understanding of Mathematics and Physics, particularly at GCSE and A-Level standard. Studying engineering at university has also allowed me to develop these subjects further and see how mathematical and physical concepts are applied to complex real-world problems.

Hi, I’m Aryan, a 19 year old BSc Economics and Geography student at UCL. I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I enjoy helping students understand topics that they may initially find difficult. Before university, I completed the IB achieving 41 points overall, including a 7 in Higher Level Chemistry and 6s in Higher Level Economics and Mathematics. I also studied Geography (7), Spanish (6) and English literature (6) at standard level. I know that every student learns differently, and I try to adapt my explanations and teaching style to what works best for each individual. Outside of academics, I enjoy going to the gym, travelling, and being involved in university societies and leadership roles. Alongside my studies, I have taken on academic and leadership responsibilities, including serving as a First Year Academic Representative at UCL.
